We are a family friendly dance school that has been established for over 21 years. The correct technique is always taught but the emphasis is very much on fun!

Debbie Jay Dance Academy is a well established dance school that has built up an enviable reputation over the last 22 years. We are committed to encouraging all dancers to strive for excellence and reach their full potential whilst enjoying themselves. Our goal is to provide quality teaching in a friendly non competitive, family orientated atmosphere. Correct technique is always taught in a fun relaxed manner . We have great relationships with our supportive parents and the success of each dancer is the result of great team work between the dance studio and our dance families. All pupils are given the opportunity to participate in exams and shows. The subjects we offer are ballet, tap, jazz, , street dance, bounce boppers, musical theatre dance to name a few.

Excellent Dance School

My daughter Lily has been attending for nearly a year and she beams with excitement every Sunday night when the usual moans for going back to school are voiced but as soon as I mention dance, it makes the Mondays worthwhile! Debbie and all the girls teach with compassion and patience which is key to dance. The students themselves become not just a team working together but a little dance family. Lily has achieved outstanding exam results with Debbie but in a non pressurised environment. Highly recommended dance school for all levels and ages.

Great dance school!

My daughter loves DJDA and has grown in confidence since she started dancing! The staff are fun, kind and talented and always look after the pupils. Looking forward to returning after the summer!

Welcoming, caring, and such good fun!

We are new to Debbie's classes, but we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and our daughter adores them. I've been amazed at how Debbie builds her confidence, and that of the other children, week on week: all the kids are recognised, praised and rewarded. Debbie has put such thought and care into organising safe classes at the moment, and the safety measures actually become opportunities for the kids to play and have fun. I would thoroughly recommend DJDA!

My two eldest daughters have attended Debbie Jay Dance Academy for many years and they continue to love their time there. Between them they have done classes in street dance, pointe, bounce boppers and tap. Debbie ensures that the classes are of a high quality and also fun. I would not hesitate to recommend this dance academy - Steve R
