Welcome surprise

Being a local resident we had not visited De Tracey's until recently, since it opened 1-2 years ago. We (a very picky family when it comes to restaurants!) were all pleasantly surprised by both the venue and quality of food. We had a meal in the restaurant upstairs (the bar is on the ground floor). The interior was clean, modern and comfortable which greatly impressed the teenage children. The food was good, tasty and well presented and even the cheapest bottle of wine was to be recommended.

Mistake from jallypeeno - its actually the Velotti restaurant a few doors up thats changed to Lords.

Nice pint here on the way to Munchers at number 69

De Traceys is no more

Sad to report that a new sign now hangs outside this establishment - "Lords" - I hope to review in due course.

A superb Restaurant and Bar

My wife and I have been customers at De-Traceys since the opening night, we have both enjoyed the excellent levels of service from all of the staff and the quality of the food is by far the best in the area, many thanks to the award winning Chef's.
The Bar is great and the Real Ales are always very well kept and it is certainly not "slightly tacky" as decribed by "jallypeeno," "Audiatur et altera pars!"
Stuart and Lorraine are the hosts and I should like to thank them personally for their support of both local/national charities and organisations
regards

De Traceys

An unlikely addition to the quaint town of Bovey Tracey De Traceys is still unsure about who it wants as clients.

A "membership scheme" is in operation but it appears this has little benefit to visitors. The slightly tacky bar is opne to all and so too is the restaurant.

Bovey Tracey is short on eateries but De Traceys needs to decide what clientel they seek - tradesmen and builders loiter outside smoking whils tinside the aspirational pretty young things look around in dismay.
