David Lloyd Leisure - Worthing

Been a member of this gym for 8 years & have suffered & witnessed a gradual decline in the standard of gym equipment; by this I mean either not functioning or partially functioning. When something is eventually repaired it can take months! This is no exaggeration! Have repeatedly, since 2010, highlighted the deficiencies even to the point of speaking directly to the general manager. Most of his staff are embarrassed & apologetic but have to say that he displayed zero customer empathy or understanding. He didn't say it but his attitude was pretty much "do I care"! The monthly premium is by far the highest in the area but the quality of service likely the poorest. The local gym run by the council repairs all faulty equipment within 72 hours yet the premium is 1/2 that of the D LLoyd. The only real positive is having the swimming pool under the same roof but even here the plumbing in the showers can have more water escaping from the pipework than the showerhead itself. How long to be repaired? At best weeks...likely months! Dissatisfied? Thoroughly. Office of fair trading? Now that's a thought.......
