Almost magically effective

I don't quite know what happened or how it did, but it was absolutely phenomenal. Daška's a very perceptive person, there is a minimum of fuss, and I would describe her practice as potentiating the body's ability to heal itself. I felt immeasurably better afterwards.

Alexander Technique

After wanting to improve my posture and stop holding tension in my shoulders I decided to try Alexander Technique. Friends and family had recommended it to me for sometime, but it was only after increased stress at work increased the tension in my back that I started.

Alexander Technique teaches the student to change poor habits of holding ourselves, sitting or standing, so improving the ease and freedom of our movement, balance, support and coordination. During sessions the student will be guided by the teacher to learn to move efficiently while maintaining a correct relationship between the head, neck and spine.

I had lessons with Daska for 18 months. After only a few sessions I noticed that I was carrying less stress in my shoulders. Prospective students need to have commitment to the process, as it takes time to unpick our old habits. But stick with it and what you learn is how to carry yourself more freely. So it is very much an investment in yourself that you have for life.

I can’t recommend Daska highly enough as a teacher. I always enjoyed my lessons with her and found her to be an open and kind person, who puts you at ease in her approach to teaching. She is very passionate about her practice and after 20 years practicing Alexander Technique is clearly very knowledgeable and accomplished in what she does. This is clear through her instruction during lessons. Daska helped me transform my posture for which I can’t thank her enough.
