I passed my practical driving test on 13th June 2025, and I owe it all to Dennis! He’s an amazing instructor with great knowledge, experience, and a real passion for teaching. He puts in more effort than the learner, always making sure you understand the rules, safety, and techniques of driving.

Dennis made learning to drive a smooth and enjoyable experience. His patience, clear guidance, and dedication really boosted my confidence. I contacted DNS just days before my test and was amazed by how friendly, responsive, and professional they were. After three other schools, I still didn’t feel confident—but Dennis completely changed that. He didn’t just teach the skills, he helped rebuild my confidence and shift how I approached driving. Every lesson was calm, clear, and focused. Now I’m driving confidently through Colchester’s tricky roads and actually enjoying it. Huge thanks to Gemma too for keeping everything smooth and stress-free. I passed my test and couldn’t be happier. I’ll miss the lessons and can’t recommend DNS enough!

Challenging Lessons, Successful Results

I took my driving lessons with D&S Driver Training and passed my driving test! My instructor, Dennis, was thorough and made sure I understood all the rules and techniques needed to drive safely. He was very focused on helping me improve and pushed me to be better each session. While his style was more intense than calm, it definitely kept me alert and prepared for the test. I appreciate the effort he put into making sure I was ready, and I’m grateful to have passed!

I used to be such an anxious driver..

I used to be such an anxious driver because of bad experiences with other instructors, and I genuinely thought I’d never feel confident behind the wheel. But then I found DNS—and specifically, Dennis, who completely changed everything for me.

From day one, Dennis was so patient, calm, and encouraging. He believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself, and that meant the world. He helped me quiet all the overthinking and taught me to trust myself and the process. Little by little, I started to feel safe, capable, and even enjoy driving.

Thanks to his support and the solid guidance from DNS, I passed my driving test—something I never thought I could say. I’m beyond grateful for this journey, and especially for Dennis. Thank you so much for helping me get here! 🙏🏾🚗

Wow, where do I even begin? I passed!!!
All thanks to Dennis. I had seen reviews about him, and let me tell you—none of them were lies. You truly have to experience his training first-hand to understand. It's tough, but it’s absolutely worth it. By the time I got to the test, it felt easy.

I've had other instructors before, but just one month with Dennis made all the difference—I got my license!

If you really want to learn how to drive and, more importantly, be a safe driver, Dennis is the one. He doesn’t just prepare you to pass a test—he gives his all to make sure you're confident, capable, and ready for the road. He’ll hold your hand every step of the way.
