Damien Hey Dance Academy

A big thank you to Damien Hey Dance Academy ( Samantha and Damien ) for enabling all their students to keep dancing via zoom lessons during the darkest days of the pandemic and even finding time to do a fantastic on-line dance competition open to all dancers . As the light at the end of the tunnel gets closer they have re-opened their Academy to children with group classes , private lessons and a well received brilliant workshop with guest coach. Their considered and safety first responses to current covid rules and restrictions has enabled the children to learn in a safe and happy environment. Samantha and Damien's holistic nature's and obsession with creating positive energy situations is obvious to all children and parents who are lucky enough to attend this excellent dance academy. Well done to both of you , carry on doing what you both do best . Thank you 👏👏👏

My 16 year old daughter and her friend joined just before the lockdown. While they had previously danced they had never tried ballroom, so it was all new to them. What is so wonderful is how welcoming and encompassing this dance school is, Damien and Samantha are enthusiastic, inspiring, professional teachers. The girls absolutely loved the classes and the great atmosphere at Stockport and then signed up for more classes at Bredbury. Classes went on zoom and have been brilliant over lockdown but they can’t wait to get back in the studio. Thank you for all you have done to keep them dancing it is greatly appreciated.

My daughter asked to move to this dance school after attending their zoom classes over the 1st lock down. They kept her motivated and inspired! we have to make a 190 mile round trip twice a week (when lock downs end) to attend her lessons and because of the brilliant teachers and their caring and professionalism we could not be more happier than to do so!! My daughter is thriving here!!!

They are very professional teachers that are both results orientated and fun; genuinely caring about the students and the dance industry, balancing results whilst ensuring individual teaching styles for each student. Our daughter dances both ballroom and Latin, and competes in regional & UK dance events (and on zoom during COVID). Damien and Sam keep her motivated and push and praise when needed. Our daughter has both group and private lessons & has been dancing 6 years, moving from ‘junior’ to youth next month. (Aged 16).
