Reviews

A bit pricey if you ask me

4
I am writing what I feel is a fair review, after discussing the work and prices with several tradesmen, we have on our property weekly.
Sandy and his colleague carried out two jobs for us, I feel their pricing was a bit excessive for the jobs carried out.
I was charged £105 per hour with four hours of work in two local properties.
Tradesmen I have spoken with have agreed what was charged was excessive and should have been a one man job to reduce cost.
I’m advised fitting a new heating control box for a qualified electrician should be a one hour job for one person at £120 max including parts and an outside light fitting should be a one hour job for one person at a cost of approx £60-£80 as the light was already purchased I would have thought maximum £100.
Decent friendly guys and very helpful,
Thanks for carrying out the work Sandy, I’m aware you have a good reputation but unfortunately at these prices we can’t use your service further.
Wishing you all the best for 2023

Excellent job at a fair price

5
Dalkeith Electrics carried out some work on my brother’s home - replacing lights in his kitchen and replacing a switch for his bathroom light. We were delighted with the work carried out and Sandy responded very speedily to my request. The work was undertaken at a very fair price. I have no hesitation in recommending Dalkeith Electrics for any electrical work.

Delighted!

Absolutely delighted with the professional service from Sandy at Dalkeith Electrics; he was prompt, polite and friendly. All that on top of being a first class electrician! He has restored my very bruised faith in the honesty of trades people. Thank you Sandy!
