DENS is an independant charity working to help single homeless people aged 18-65 years in the borough of Dacorum reclaim their lives. DENS operates the Dacorum Food Bank supplying 3-day food parcels to people in crisis. The Day Centre gives support, advice and education to homeless people, our Homeless Hostel provides emergency accomodation, our Move On accomodation gives a temporary solution, our Lettings Agency provides longer term accomodation, and our resettlement work supports individual plans. The Educational program trains in life skills, tenancy sustainment and back to work skills, and our charity shop supports poor marginalised people as they reclaim their lives. We are always looking to help homeless people and need volunteers, landlords, developers and supporters. For a really good understanding, watch the two short DVDs on our website.
