D & I Cromwell

We are thrilled with Ian’s quality work on re-upholstering and re-springing our 3 piece suite. You’d think it was completely new furniture - but for less price. Ian is so in demand that it was a few months before he could fit us in but well worth the wait. After a visit to his shop to choose fabric with advice from Ian, he took our suite one piece at a time so we weren’t left with nowhere to sit! Each item was completed within 10 days with speedy delivery back to our home including custom made arm covers and full placement in situ. He even sourced us a new chair. Very friendly, professional and organised, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ian’s services. He is a talented craftsman, a dying breed.

D & I Cromwell beautifully restored and reupholstered a much loved but seriously dilapidated wing-back armchair that had been in our family for over 80 years.
Ian was a complete pleasure to talk to and so knowledgable! He wasn't phased by the chair's condition whatsoever and understood its value.
The job he's done is truly amazing. Everything has been done so well. The frame is solid and strong again, the springs and upholstery supportive and comfortable and the fabric beautifully applied, with great piping and detailing. The turned legs have been beautifully polished, sensitively retaining some of the knocks and dents of over 80 years. It is still very much the chair we all loved but its now refreshed with enormous skill and a beautiful comfortable addition to the living room.
Ian is a true craftsman with decades of experience. You really couldn't find a better upholsterer / furniture restorer anywhere. I cannot recommend D & I Cromwell highly enough.

Decided to re-upholster an armchair, which came with the house,40years ago!!
