I remember it when the late Bob Ellis was the Steward who counted the 3 "old pence" charged for 30 minutes billiards. Snooker was played at Christmas. Is the big Stevens Ink thermometer still inside the front door? That was in the days when there was a very large functional library that ultimately became the main lounge bar.
