EXPERT GUITAR LESSONS FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES. Over 20 years professional and teaching experience.

Curtis is a guitar player based in Ossett, West Yorkshire. His schedule includes touring, live dates and studio work.

Curtis studied at City Of Leeds College Of Music, and later at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, after his studies he went on to work on cruise ships including the QE2, toured with the Memphis Belle Orchestra, as well as working with some of the finest musicians in the UK at various jazz festivals across England.

Curtis currently teaches at various schools throughout the local area. Whether you or your child would like to learn Classical, Rock or Bass Guitar, Curtis has all the skills to teach music in a relaxing environment and can offer entry to both Rockschool and ABRSM Examinations if required.

Lesson are usually 1-2-1 and last 30 mins accomodating the specific needs of each individual pupil.

Great Teacher

Curt is very patient and makes each lesson challenging whilst maintaining my sons enjoyment. My son really enjoys his lessons and is making great progress. Curt genuinely enjoys teaching which is evident and is happy to give advice between lessons if needed.

Mr Shaw is extremely conscientious and dedicated. He tailors his teaching to the pupil, working to their interests and strengths.

Skilled, patient, friendly, fun!

We found Curt on Yell and totally glad we did. He has taught our grandson, William, for several months now and even being so young, (started at 5, now 6), William loves his lesson time. Curt lets us watch the lessons so we know he has the ability to fit a lesson around how William is feeling that day so he still learns but also enjoys the time. Fantastic person, skilled, professional teacher. Highly recommended.

Brilliant guitar teacher

Our child has slight learning difficulties and we were not sure if it would work re teaching him guitar but Curtis has brought our child leaps and bounds.

Our son recently performed at school assembly and if someone had said to us six months ago, your son will be playing guitar to a good standard and performing at school we would have laughed it off. Curtis is a brilliant teacher and we highly recommend him.
