Crystal Palace Jewellers

Previously have had a good service here. Last year in lockdown break, had battery replaced in a decent Longines. Was not the regular guy and he did not look like he knew what he was doing. The watch stopped working a few days after replacing the battery. I went back, he said it was not his fault and the watch needs servicing - at about £150. I have not been able to find out until now - he put the wrong battery in and has damaged the watch. I cannot go back now and there is no website nor email to contact them so am hoping to get a response regarding sorting this out via reviewing.
I only went there as previosuly the regular guy had said to me not to let anyone put a cheap battery in as it ruins the watch so i thought i could trust the shop. Should have known, when this other guy clearly did not really know what he was doing.

I dropped off my chain to be soldered on Friday to a friendly chap called Dareen who told me it would be ready on the Tuesday. I explained how precious this item was to me.
We go into tier 4 on Saturday!!. Darren, the owner went out of his way to call me & ask if I would like to get it back as he might be closed for a while. He arrange for this to be dropped off to me, following the government guidlines. Very happy with the job done at a reasonable price. from Linda

Sadly having used crystal palace jewellers for over 5years with excellent service, they've recently changed proprietor. Darryll, the original owner was friendly, knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. Unfortunately my recent (and last) visit found a new unhelpful 'manager' who didn't instill any confidence, had poor customer service and seemed to lack the skills of a jeweller.

The staff that works here is extremely rude. I came in looking for a necklace. they left me standing by the door asking what I was looking for for a good 15 minutes then when I finally got in, there was an extremely rude man who was very aggressive when "helping me". The staff is extremely unprofessional and I would recommend you stay far from this place

Very good service. Not too flashy, do the job and don't over-charge.
