Crystal Autocare, more specifically the owner ROB! took our car in to be looked at was all nice and friendly to start, we knew the starter motor was knackered which we wanted him to fix. ROB called the next working day and told us what was wrong with the car a quoted around £1200 to our disbelief as the car is only 4years old. After hearing the quote we told him to leave it and NOT to do any work as we will find some one else to do work. When collecting the car he told us he had done work on the car even tho we did NOT agree for any work to be done, he refused to let the car go unless paying him a minimum of £515. We had no choice but to pay as he refused to release the car to us, we were disgusted. We then took the car for a second opinion to a reputable garage to get a quote for whole job and explained what had happened he qouted us £300 max we agreed and garage completed the work. The biggest shock was yet to come... when the reputable garage called me up whilst working on the car he informed me that crystal autocare DID NOT CARRY OUT ANY WORK on the car they charged me for. We are now disputing this and I want to heavily warn hard working decent people before letting this robbing thieving mechanics do work on any car.

Took my car to be "looked" at, advised the mechanic that car would not pass MOT, however the vehicle was put through one anyway and then had work carried out on the car that I didnt authorise and then was refused the car back unless I paid the extortionate costs that were charged, now I am out of pocket and still have problems with car! Was also quoted prices that when looked online were more than treble what the parts actually cost. WONT be going back!!

i found this garage really helpful and extremely knowledgeable. i turned up with my motorcycle without booking it in after filling the sump with 2-stroke oil duh! They changed the oil for me promptly. Then i asked for an mot which failed, they carried out the repairs and i got my car back after only 5 days! Not bad for someone who didnt even make a booking!
Great garage!

Incompetent service all round. Motorbike still has problems which haven't been fixed properly and still dangerous to drive.
Customer service is unsatisfactory.
Used to be a regular customer but will now happily look elsewhere for a better service
