Croydon Guitar Tuition

I had guitar lessons when I was a teenager for a few years then dropped it and just played guitar casually. 10-odd years later I wanted to get back into lessons and developing my technique and theory. Vicki's classes have been genuinely fantastic for this so far - have done everything from chord theory, scales, how to slide, and song-writing theory. Mixed in with this are the jam sessions and showcases, which are a huge, huge bonus as there really is nothing like playing live with a band!

All in all, it's exactly what I've been looking for, and there is good range of start times for lessons each week (I usually go on my lunch break, but if I miss one there are evening sessions and Saturday classes).

I really enjoy all the lessons I have with Vicky, Zac and Mike, at Croydon. They listen to suggestions and requests from class members, which keeps the interest up and extends the repertoire of songs and material. They are all extremely good teachers and skillful, knowledgeable musicians. Each lesson helps you to build up skills at your own pace and I feel I am improving week on week as I actually enjoy practicing the pieces they give me to learn.

Vicki and her team of teachers have inspired me to learn new techniques and new songs after feeling that I had "plateaued out" in my guitar playing. Really enjoying the experience too! Its great to be playing with others, picking up hints and tips and encouraged to develop my own style. The organisation is run most professionally, with excellent on-line resources and flexibility in timing and days for each class. Can't beat being taught by people with enthusiasm and who can really play themselves!

My 7 year old daughter has gone from a total beginners with no knowledge or experience into a great little melody maker in 2 months.
Great teachers put the students at ease helping them gain confidence whilst learning.
Classes held with other students help the experience making it not too intense and sometimes quite fun.

I never thought I'd get round to playing an instrument but here I am at Croydon Guitar Tuition regulary due to the flexible lessons and making superb progress with the great help of all the amazing teachers here. A definite must for any budding/aspiring musician/s, your playing will be crafted in a way like no other and shows you real progress fast. I've been playing only a few months and already I feel confident enough to say I can play the guitar. A* highly recommended!!!
