Very good builders, and nice to have around. These builders have done great work for me over the years and have come up with creative solutions to house problems and brought light and warmth into my old Victorian house in central Sheffield. They always come when they say they're going to, and leave the place tidy. Phil Jones deserves a special mention, also a first class joiner on this team.

This builder has destroyed my life and faith in humanity. He has taken money for uncompleted work, charged excessive extras and now will not even provide the materials I have already paid for. I am about to involve police, trading standards and action fraud. Do not use this builder. I cannot warn you enough

Having the worst of nightmares with this builder, he agreed to do a 15sqm extension on my house 2 years ago, still dragging on with so many problems... He is on holidays permanently, doesn't reply for months and when he does, he is always full of excuses & lies.... We cannot even sack him right now as he has drained all our money incl.uding the last installment, at the cost of 65k +VAT + nearly our marriage!! with the cheapest of material he has used, and his partial commitment over the past 2 years for only a medium size extension (3*5 m). Posting this on here now as really desparate with two children and a big mortgage trying to help future victims and hoping some people would get back to me with some advice on how to move this forward. I'm really unsure how he has got the good reviews written above!!! Relatives maybe?!

Got to say, in 25 years, we have had lots of different housing work done but we have never experienced a building company like Crown.
The quote we got wasn't the cheapest (or the dearest!) but we got a really good feel for Phil and his company.
Having a very large extension planned we wanted a competent company with a good track record. Phil came up to see me and my wife twice and planned the whole job with us and gave us his undivided attention.
His lads were always on time, mostly early!, and left the place clean and tidy every day.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Everything and everybody was on time and we are left with a superb extension, built on time as promised. A quality job by a quality company. Thanks Guys!
