Criterion Auctioneers & Valuers

I made contact with Criterion Auctioneers and Valuers ( July 2020) after a recommendation from a family member. My point of contact was a young lady named Rosemiranda. She spent a good deal of time examining my pieces and discussing valuations and the auction process. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable; especially regarding the jewellery and more valuable items. The larger items I had for sale were collected by Mike from my home. Unfortunately I had an accident and was in hospital when he came and my niece oversaw the proceedings. He was brilliant and all went well!!
I have had items sold in 5 auctions to date with more to follow. I was very pleased with some of the outcomes. Hopefully the remainder will sell next week and I will receive my monies soon after.

I can only thank Criterion for their help in selling several items for me when my father recently died. They achieved a much higher price than I was expecting.
They collected the items on time and were courteous and efficient.
Will definitely use them again if I need to sell anything.

Terrible service, Registerd for a phone bid early in the morning which was confirmed with an email to me. No phone call was made and the manager / owner came up with some lame excuse that I do not accept and find suspicious. I just feel sorry for the vendor of the item (number 363 on the 29th of April, a lot that included 3 Framed Punk posters) which sold for £95.00 where as I was going to bid up to £500.00. I will never use again and will advise anyone to stay away whether a buyer or seller.

I won a lot in their Monday auction, was sent an invoice and paid for the lot. I was then telephoned and told there had been a mistake and I had to pay another £40 otherwise I could not have the item. When I queried this they then told me the original owner had taken back the item from them and I had no rights to the item I had paid for and that they were unhappy with my attitude which was described as indignant. Think hard before bidding with these auctioneers as the same experience could happen to you. I plan to pursue this matter. and will keep you all updated how it goes

Criterion Auctioneers sold some of my furnitures but forgot to pay me back. It has been a real struggle to get the account department to transfer my money to me. I am very very disappointed. They have a very bad attitude when it comes to paying the clients' money.
