Craft Republic

Craft Republic is a multi-award winning independent Craft Beer, Wine and Cocktail Bar and Shop based in the Goodsheds development in Barry. We have 14 lines of fresh draught craft beer and cider pouring on tap through our state-of-the-art Direct Draw system.

Craft Republic was named the UK's Best Independent Craft Beer Bar or Pub (City) in the 2022 SIBA Business Awards and to win the Best Bar Category in the Cardiff Life Awards 2021.

Our line-up is constantly changing and we strive to bring the best craft beers from independent breweries all over the UK and the world - We're proud to support independent drinks producers. There's no boring beers or lustreless lagers here! We always have a Welsh beer on draught and have plenty of locally produced drinks on offer (including Barry Island Gin, Rum and Vodka).

As well as our wide selection of beers we have an extensive wine list, a fully stocked bar, a seasonal cocktail menu and a broad selection of non-alcoholic drinks. If you're not sure what to choose our friendly and knowledgeable team will be more than happy to chat you through out latest menu and make a recommendation. We offer all our draught beers in thirds as well as pints and half pints so why not choose a flight of three beers and try a selection?

We're located a short walk from Barry Island and close to Barry train station and we're fully dog friendly. Our sunny beer garden is the perfect spot to chill out with a cold drink. We're happy for you to bring food in and are lucky enough to have some of the best Street Food vendors in South Wales on our doorstep who offer dishes to takeaway.
