Business overview
FREE service for everyone. We're not just about books, we have activities all year round from live Jazz to children's playgroups.
Anyone can join Sandwell's libraries, no matter where you live. Becoming a member is free and entitles you to borrow books, DVDs, CDs and other items from any of our libraries. Library members can use our computers and our free WiFi service.
You can borrow up to 30 items from any of our libraries. You can also download eBooks and eAudiobooks once you have a PIN, which our staff can set up for you.
If you are 16 or over you can join online or call into any of our libraries and fill in a form. You can do this whatever your age.
If you join at a library and are 16 or over you need to show evidence of your identity when you fill in the form. This could be a driving licence, medical card, recent bill, student library card or bank or credit card. If you are under 16 you don't have to show any ID when you join.
Join at the library and start borrowing items straightaway.
Don't forget to bring your card to the library each time you visit.
All of our libraries have free to use computers with internet access, Microsoft Office and scanners. You can use these straightaway after joining. We also offer printing, for which a small charge applies. If you are under 16, your parent or carer needs to fill in a consent form if you want to use the internet.
