Coverdale 2

We brought our C Class into this garage last summer to have an ignition issue investigated and ended up being handed a £2000 bill (more than the value of the car) and being told in no uncertain terms that the car would fail it’s next MOT on several matters including a totally blown exhaust. The ignition issue was resolved quickly and cheaply elsewhere, and the car has just passed the MOT with no mention of the issues Coverdale highlighted, exhaust or otherwise. We were prepared to scrap our only car over this, costing thousands for a new car, so needless to say we are not impressed!

I went to Coverdale because the garage I usually used said they could not fix what was wrong and recommended them. That was probably about 7 years ago and I have not been anywhere else since.
They are a great bunch of guys and nothing is to much trouble, small things are fixed on the spot. I no longer have a Mercedes but they look after all makes of car. I would never trust my car to anyone else.

I just bought a used car and called four Mercedes 'companys', three were quite sniffy and didn't get past the receptionist. Coverdale was answered by Lee himself who was cheerful and easy to talk to. I called by unannounced two days later to ask a few questions - his place is a functional workshop, not an expensive glossy sales emporium with a luxurious waiting lounge. He checked the car (he was rather concerned) and even attended to something free of charge! Three days later a full service produced various clogged/worn out parts which according to its previous service paperwork had been replaced... but they hadn't been - ever!!
WARNING: The previous owner had been paying top dollar for little more than a coffee and car wash as the car still had its original six year old fluids and filters etc. (Enter Watchdog/Trading Standards) My service was probably cheaper than elsewhere BUT I had value for money because Coverdale had actually completed the work. You worked hard for five stars.

Did their best to fit me in - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent workmanship, excellent services.
