At Core Companion we are fully insured and disclosure Scottish compliant. A full clean driving licence is held.

What is included in the service?

Companionship

Assist with activities of daily living

Reading books/newspapers out loud

Helping with hobbies/interests

Company for a walk or other outdoor activity

Transportation to and from doctor/hospital visits & social interaction

Light gardening

Reiki and hand massages (this is a complementary service, offered to those who are interested)

Following my 15 year career in the Banking Industry, I've decided to accept Voluntary Redundancy and set up my own business in Home Care and Companionship.

From a young age it was very clear to me that I wanted to help others because I was drawn to people, especially those in need. I felt compassion for others and I would always look at both sides of a story - many times feeling the pain of others.

My second passion is my love for the elderly. I have always had a lot of respect for the elderly and hold them in high regard. As a 12 year old girl on her paper round I would regularly take the time to speak to each and every one of my customers. I built up close relationships with many of them sitting chatting about their day over a cup of tea.
