Conkers

Conkers put in place a long and expensive fence but with inadequate footings so though it looked good at first the posts quickly started to work loose and then to lean. I asked the boss to come and make good the work and eventually after weeks of chasing he promised he would. Then I had five months of no-shows with no warnings (always after I had taken a full day off work to be at home), broken promises, elaborate excuses, failures to apologise, and then increasingly aggressive behaviour. If you look at the reviews on their Facebook page you can see that this is the experience of a good proportion of their customers. I have worked with tradespeople over thirty years, and know that you have to be flexible and patient, but this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It puts the reputation of Norfolk tradespeople, most of whom are amazing, honest and highly skilled, to shame.

Hired this company to re-landscape my entire front garden. After they did a decent job of laying turf in my back garden... Well, that one was an easy job... 2 years later and I'm discovering how shoddy their work is. Most areas haven't even been done. They've just laid membrane over the top and laid shale down. Not what I asked them to do. The fence they put up had to be rectified 3 times and even then, we had to finish the job ourselves as they didn't even screw the posts to the wall properly. One of the concrete posts fell down at one point and almost hit my car! In the front garden, all of the hedges are growing back because they didn't remove the roots as I'd asked. Just lazy workers and after contacting the company last year to rectify, I basically got argued with, after paying them an extortionate amount of money for the work. Great customer service...(sarcasm). Now we're having to relandscape the garden all over again ourselves. Definitely would not recommend to ANYONE.

Disappointed in quality of follow up to solve snags. A number of issues with our patio are outstanding and we will not be asking this contractor to quote for further building projects.

Would have no hesitation in recommending Conkers to anyone. The team did a superb job transforming my back garden into something you would see in a makeover programme. Really nice, professional and skilled guys who took pride in their workmanship.
