Great Experience

5
Coda are one of a decreasing number of music shops that cater for musicians that want to choose their guitar in real life before committing. I have purchased a few guitars over the years the most recent being a Fender Acoustasonic together with a looper. I was left to play the guitar to see if it was what I wanted. When it came to purchasing the price was competitive and they fairly matched the price for the looper that I had seen on line. I'm glad to see they are getting some YouTube videos together now showing their range of stock. If, like me, you want to browse, play and eventually decide on your purchase then this shop is the place to go. Plus there are some good pubs nearby if you need to celebrate afterwards.

Excellent.

Coda music are a shining light within the murky world of guitar shops. They always give a fair deal on trade-ins and they have a lot of experience with both new and vintage instruments. They are leagues ahead of the other, bigger retailers based in Birmingham and Sheffield. Sometimes smaller is better, and in this case, Coda music are absolute proof of this. They have great stock levels of the 'Top end' kit that everyone loves and they also cater for the more entry level customer. They can be trusted. Well done, Coda, good work.

Music to my ears.

I have dealt with this shop over the years many times. I have always found them helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are reasonable with good trade in values. I have also found their descriptions via email fair and accurate. I recommend them highly.

Rude Staff

1
I recently visited Coda for an electric guitar. When I asked the staff questions about specific models they had, they seemed totally disinterested and couldn’t answer any questions I asked them. I actually noticed on the way out of the store that they were both playing games on their iPads. As someone who has a passion for guitars, I expected that they would especially have had some kind of interest but they were totally non existent. Never again!

Great guitar store!

As a local guitarist and guitar teacher I've bought several guitars, amps and effects units from Coda and I would recommend them without hesitation. On the rare occasion when I have had issues with an instrument it has been replaced or repaired immediately. Admittedly the electric store is a bit cramped but you can try guitars from beginner to boutique level to your hearts content and without any hassle.
A great shop and long may it last.
