Great service for over 10 years

Have looked after my little Yorkie for over 10 years. Loveliest vets and reception staff, they’ve never tried to sell me anything that wasn’t needed. The only practice in Brighton with a 24 hour service which is invaluable if your dog gets ill in the night.

Amazing Care of Diego *****

5
We called the emergency line at 5 am on Saturday Morning and was advised to come down.
From the moment we got there the care and time was second to none.
Communication throughout his stay at the vets was regular was is very important at such a stressful time.
Nothing was too much and even when I called a few times after he returned home with what were probably me worrying unnecessarily , Molly took the time to speak and reassure me even though I am sure she was super busy.

I honestly could not recommend the Coastways Team enough , they have always been empathetic and reassuring and I am so glad that we have them as our regular team, they also have the knowledge to deal with each animal based on the different characteristics for each breed which is paramount as our Bengal can be hard work and hes also very noisy so I am sure he was not a good patient.

Thank you once again and keep up the good work

Too big to care about Consumer Rights. You’ll pay if you love your pet!!!

exert;
Brighton Coastway’s has already been contacted over the telephone during January 2020 on five occasions without any resolution. In February 2019 my partner, Xxxx, took our cat Barney to Coastway Brighton due to noticeable scratching. Whilst in the consultation, the vet recommended several tests for Barney. The fees for the tests were not discussed but Cxxx oblivious to the full costs, agreed to the tests. After the treatment, the receptionist presented Xxxxwith an invoice for £285. Cxxx, a student, said that the price was unaffordable and she hadn’t had fees discussed with her. The manager, now identified as cxxxc came out of the office told that it was up her to ask about the fees and in a hostile tone immediately threatened that if the bill was not paid

We are sorry that you are still unhappy with the resolution of your complaint which dates from Feb 2019. Our records show that this was settled following adjudication from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Kind regards

Rude, patronising and money grabbing.

1
Rude, patronising and money grabbing is how I would describe this vets practise. Having been with Coastway for 7 years I have seen a deterioration in the level of care, the only decent vet was Duncan who is now retiring sadly.
The staff who answer the phone and deal with clients are rude and patronising always trying to get more money out of you. Prices for products are ridiculous and overcharging on my bank card is not acceptable, will be moving to another vet. Try training your staff to deal with clients politely!

Stressful for my cat and me

1
I had used Coastway vets for nearly 20 years. I took my cat at the beginning of last year because I had found a lump the vet (a reptile specialist) said there wasn't a lump but tried to sell me all sorts of tests although none to check if there was a lump. When my cat got ill in November I took her to the vets and guess what she had a lump !. I was told an ultrasound would tell me if it was cancer or bacteria it didn't, so they did a urine test and that didn't either. She got worse and they suggested an invasive operation but I asked first if it was cancer could be cured, I was told no I refused the operation. Why on earth would you put a dying animal through that. In addition to this the vet who had called me with the ultrasound results tried to sell me more tests not even related to her condition when I spoke to the other vet I was told the vet who had called me "had got it wrong". But now all they care about is selling. I never felt that they cared at all about my cat only money.
