Coastway have cared for Brighton's pets for more than 30 years. We have five local surgeries across the region: Rottingdean, Woodingdean, Brighton, Portslade and Shoreham. We offer a full range of professional pet care services and run Brighton's only vet-run pet shop at our Portslade Pet Centre.
We provide a 24 hour emergency service called Vetcall, from our Kemp Town surgery in the centre of Brighton. This is open 365 days a year, providing emergency services whenever you need them.
Our experienced, friendly staff are always available to provide advice by phone and our nurses clinics see non-urgent cases every day of the week.

5From the moment we got there the care and time was second to none.
Communication throughout his stay at the vets was regular was is very important at such a stressful time.
Nothing was too much and even when I called a few times after he returned home with what were probably me worrying unnecessarily , Molly took the time to speak and reassure me even though I am sure she was super busy.
I honestly could not recommend the Coastways Team enough , they have always been empathetic and reassuring and I am so glad that we have them as our regular team, they also have the knowledge to deal with each animal based on the different characteristics for each breed which is paramount as our Bengal can be hard work and hes also very noisy so I am sure he was not a good patient.

1Brighton Coastway’s has already been contacted over the telephone during January 2020 on five occasions without any resolution. In February 2019 my partner, Xxxx, took our cat Barney to Coastway Brighton due to noticeable scratching. Whilst in the consultation, the vet recommended several tests for Barney. The fees for the tests were not discussed but Cxxx oblivious to the full costs, agreed to the tests. After the treatment, the receptionist presented Xxxxwith an invoice for £285. Cxxx, a student, said that the price was unaffordable and she hadn’t had fees discussed with her. The manager, now identified as cxxxc came out of the office told that it was up her to ask about the fees and in a hostile tone immediately threatened that if the bill was not paid

Rude, patronising and money grabbing.
1The staff who answer the phone and deal with clients are rude and patronising always trying to get more money out of you. Prices for products are ridiculous and overcharging on my bank card is not acceptable, will be moving to another vet. Try training your staff to deal with clients politely!
