Just 15 minutes’ drive from Oldham and the Peak District, Clough Manor offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Set in a 16th-century building, the renovated hotel has a stylish restaurant and bar. The bedrooms at the Clough Manor Hotel each have a private modern bathroom with elegant granite tiles, chrome accessories and modern furniture. All rooms have a trouser press, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. The Clough Manor Restaurant serves a modern British menu using local produce. Set in pretty gardens near the Oldham Reservoirs, the Clough is just 30 minutes’ drive from central Manchester. Good service, great food

The flavours and presentation of the food served here was fantastic. There was a well priced mid week menu with some special offers not available at weekends, so if you're tempted to try it out but not completely sold on it, I'd suggest going one evening during the week and trying it out at a bit of a discount (which is what I did), and I'll certainly be going back!

The staff seemed a little over-eager though this was possibly the result of going on the quietest time of day.

The menu was very eclectic amd ranged from borderline pretentious cuisine to classic sausage and mash. It was good to see them promoting the use of locally reared meat, which seemed realistic given the location in the middle of the mooors!

Great food, GREAT location.
