Business overview

Beautiful Clos Maggiore is a lovers' retreat from the hustle and bustle of London's West End. The dining area is understatedly stylish, with an intimate courtyard decorated with blossom-laden branches and an unobtrusive fire in the colder months. The restaurant menu alludes to the cuisine of the country inns of Provence and Tuscany, while an award-winning wine list offers over a choice of over 30 by the glass alone.

Been here several times for special occasions.
One of our favourite restaurants.
Food very good and well presented.
Amazing wine list and on our first visit, they could not do enough to make sure we had exactly the right wine and even gave me a much more expensive port (at same cost)as they had run out of the one i wanted!
Mentioned it was my partner's birthday, so off their own back, piped a lovely message on her dessert plate with a candle.
The room at the back is very romantic and I would recommend asking for that at the booking.
Food is a little expensive, however based on location and service, is not an issue.
So impressed, I am going to propose there soon!

Masterchef stlyee at Clos Maggiore

Clos Maggiore tries very hard. Their food looks beautiful and comes with posh things like tiny saucepans and mustard mousse - the kind of thing you see on Masterchef. However for me it doesn't always hit the taste buds in quite as much glory. While our starters and desert were good, my Fiance and I found our main courses disappointing with no variety in flavour with the ingredients. The wine list is also so vast that it is a little daunting. Also something to note is that you should ask for the courtyard area when you book - it's the most popular because the ceiling is covered in fake flowers and fairy lights.

Horrible treatment

The staff mixed up our booking.
We arrived before booked time and were told our table was given to someone else because they thought we booked for an hour earlier. I even showed them the email confirming the actual booking on my phone. No apologies, nothing.
We were treated better in a sushi place.
Very poor service. Not recommended.

Dined upstairs at Close Maggiore last night. The food was okay but the head waiter upstairs was extremely rude, surly, arrogant and unhelpful on the occason of our visit. I have never been treated like this in a London restaurant and I would urge others to give this venure a miss until the management train the staff properly. One would have thought he was paying us to be there and not the other way around. He completely ruined our evening.

This place has it all. So impressed with everything. A perfect night out. The food was out of this world, as was the service!
