Clive and Rosalind helped me arrange a family funeral following a sudden unexpected death. As you can imagine it was a difficult and stressful time for us all as a family and yet I felt completely supported by them both. I had never had to arrange a funeral before and they gently guided me through every step. They made what is an emotional, hard process as easy as it could be. Clive Pugh Funeral Directors is a fourth generation, family-run business that can trace its roots back through the history of the local community. Located in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury - only a short distance from Emstrey Crematorium and the Shropshire Registry Office - we stay true to delivering a dignified, respectful and caring funeral service. Whatever your needs may be, we will work with you and those closest to you, ensuring you have all the advice and guidance you need, giving you peace of mind that all the necessary arrangements have been made.

We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A quiet, peaceful place to say goodbye to your loved one.
We offer a selection of coffins and caskets ranging from the traditional to the eco-friendly.
Our urn collection includes biodegradable urns for scattering as well as traditional urns made of marble, wood, bronze or ceramic.
We work with a local florist to offer a beautiful selection of flowers for the funeral, memorial or graveside service.
Flowers can be free standing or arranged specifically for a coffin or casket.
We are able to offer a full and comprehensive selection of vehicles, both hearses and limousines. A horse drawn hearse is also available upon request.
We can help you to create a booklet that best sums up the life of your loved one. Choosing photographs and sentiments that symbolise a life well lived.

Excellent funeral service

Compassionate, calm and completely professional service. Clive and Rosalind made a terrible time so much easier to cope with.
They will take care of as much, or as little as you would like them too and gently encourage you to make the best, and most informed decisions available.
My family and I felt they were a firm anchor in a turbulent sea of emotions.
They dealt with covid in the same calm and professional manner too, when it's really the last thing you want to be thinking about they maintain your safety and ensure you are in a covid safe environment.
Both Clive and Rosalind are extremely easy to get along with, they communicate brilliantly and with ease, and I appreciated that we could inject some humour into such a sad time.
I would highly recommend this funeral company to anyone who is needing one.

Clive Pugh Funeral Directors did an amazing funeral for my father, as they did for my mother 8 years ago.
Everything was organised down to the last detail and their suggestions to make the day go more smoothly were perfect. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would 100% recommend them.

Outstanding services

Absolutely outstanding service from this couple. Rosalinda and Clive, not forgetting Basil, just take away all the stress and worry of giving your loved ones a superb ‘send off’. They listen to all your wishes, suggest ideas - nothing is too much trouble. They literally do organise everything for you. Rosalinda is the absolute Queen of Admin and her attention to detail is just meticulous. She can honestly arrange whatever you require.
Clive quietly and respectfully helps you on the actual day, he just kind of ‘guides’ you to where you should stand, wait etc. He is an absolute rock you can fully rely on.
I will never ever be able to thank this couple fully, they have both been just brilliant in organising both my parents funerals.
They are both a safe haven to go to when your world has been turned upside down.
