Charged to fix something that wasn’t broken

Been using them for a few years. Took my car in because had two issues. Phoned me to tell me it was the alternator and a tensioner. so I said go ahead and fix pls. Got a call and hour later saying one of the problems was caused because of something else. So I said leave it. Went to pick the car up and the alternator was fixed But the other issue was twice as bad but they had charged me for replacing the tensioner ( even though that wasnt the problem as they had phoned to tell me). So now I’m 350 down and the patricians problem is twice as bad.

Manipulative company. AVOID! AVOID!

I have been driving for almost 15 years. I tend to book my MOT in the same garage, but last year I went to cleevley motors as the location was convenient. They implied that the work required to pass the MOT would cost £515 when they called me, so I authorised the work to be done. A year later I have had my MOT done at an alternative garage and not only did they confirm my MOT passed first time last year, but the £515 of ‘suspension’ work I paid for had not been done. I regard this firm as highly unprofessional and very deceitful. I am having almost the same identical work done again this year for a cost of £200. Definitely not a reputable company, and the employees clearly don’t have a shred of integrity. AVOID! AVOID!

Customer for 12 years and very dissapointed

My car was completely dead and I didn't know what the problem was. Called Cleevely Motors on a Saturday and spoke to Mat not realising they weren't actually open on a Saturday. Mat told me they were too busy to come out but would call me on Monday. I wasn't contacted that week and got the impression that Mat wasn't interested . I have been a customer for over 10 years and my last visit was a service which cost over £400. Ever since the new garage for electric cars opened up the service hasn't been the same.

I have been using Cleevely for work for the last year or so; they've always proven to be extremely knowledgeable, provide an excellent level of service and extremely good value too.

Can't recommend highly enough.
