Richard won the DSWF Wildlife Artist of the Year in 2008 and since then, has completed many private and corporate commissions. His work has appeared in coloured pencil art books both here and in America, and he has given coloured pencil workshops to aspiring artists in Derbyshire. Richard completes cartoons and caricatures, coloured pencil portraiture, acrylic scenes and digital paintings of animals, friends and family and corporate architectural illustration.

His work covers many mediums and he is always looking to try new techniques and processes to feed his creative mind. Richard on many commissions nowadays predominantly uses a Wacom Cintiq creative digital drawing board, the same board that many illustrators use around the world - Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney to name a few.

Hyper-realistic illustration and animation is very popular nowadays so Richard is taking on more and more commissions for 3D illustration work with Consultants, Local Government and private developers but still finds the time to undertake private commissions on all sorts of projects so please get in touch if you need his services.
