Christine Barve Garden Design

When I moved into my new home, I inherited an overgrown, neglected, waterlogged garden that had clearly once been much-loved but was now in need of lots of TLC.
I knew from the first visit that Christine was the perfect fit and I decided to go for the full design package. Christine made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. She was generous with her time & advice throughout.
The detailed planting guides are great so I know I’m adding new plants that are suitable for my heavy clay soil. Christine took account of features that I wanted to retain such as an old apple tree and other mature plants including a grapevine, so there is interest even while the new plants are settling in.
Christine was a pleasure to work with and I'm thrilled with the results. I now have a garden full of character and year-round interest. I feel really thankful to Christine Barve Design for making my dream garden a reality.

Christine visited our garden and literally walked every border and planting area (around 10 in total) offering guidance of plant management and what we needed to do next. This was then followed up within 4 days of a very comprehensive plan to follow either to look after an existing plant/location or how, where and when to move a plant to alternative areas. Although we have not yet put the plan into action due to the bad weather we are looking forward to making a difference soon. Theres something magical in doing it yourself rather than simply hiring a gardener - Christines Advice & Inspiration package bridges the gap. Great communication also meeting all agreed appointments and deadlines. Highly recommended.

Christine’s recent Advice and Inspiration visit was exactly that. Our garden has been growing ahead of our capacity to deal with it and becoming a bit of a muddle. Christine came, she looked, listened, saw what we liked and what needed to be done and worked out how it could all be pulled together into a more manageable and and attractive garden. She offered planting suggestions that were in line with our tastes, and guidance about how we could work round existing plants to enhance their effect. Advice about maintenance and ground cover was also useful. She also guided me away from what would have been a planting error. We began putting her suggestions into effect almost immediately. It is a joy to have a clear plan to work to.
