Installing new pipework in a property with no central heating or gas. The floor had to be taken up to replace several joists which were infested with woodworm. It also provided great access for pipe installation!
New gas, water and heating pipework - machine bends, straighter pipe runs and well secured, neat pipework all contribute to improved system flow and drastically reduces pipe rattling or flow noise.
This pipework connects all water and gas services to and from the combi boiler with branches for the sink and washing machine in accordance with the planned kitchen layout
The central heating return pipework includes a Magnaclean filter to collect any black corrosion deposits before they reach the boiler and keep the heating circuit clean.
This particular boiler has a 10 year parts and labour warranty
Work in progress on a new Baxi Neta-tec combi boiler, with additional new pipework to replace old lead water pipes. An old Glowworm balanced flue heat only boiler has been removed.
This boiler has a 5 year warranty - pipework on right which has not yet been installed will have a Magnaclean filter fitted (as do all boilers I fit) to protect the system from black sludge build up.
Initial installation of new larger MDPE water main during a hotel building conversion into apartments
We had to expose these vitreous clay drains so they could be cut out and replaced with new plastic drains. This was so that the soil pipe could be moved to a new position for the WC in the customer's new bathroom layout.

Knowledgeable, competent, reliable and honest

I chose Chris from Yell.com because he had five 5 star reviews, whereas most other contractors had none or only one. Even before he arrived for the quotation he had done his research on my system (Boilermate II), both on the internet and with the manufacturers. As a result he was able to repair my system for a tenth of the cost British Gas quoted (they advised replacing the whole system). Highly recommended.

Competent, honest, and reliable

I picked Chris because he had five 5 star reviews, and that is rare amongst the engineers listed in Yell. Most had none, or perhaps 1 or 2 starred reviews. I was not disappointed. Even before he came to quote for the job, he researched the Boilermate II system that I had. Whereas a BG engineer recommended changing my whole system for £2000, Chris found out that the defective part could be changed for a tenth of the BG quote. Simply superb.

Don't call British Gas!

We had British Gas round to look at the boiler and we were told it was unsafe and we needed a new one. I called Chris out for a second opinion and he told us we did not need a new boiler it was a switching valve on the water tank. I was very pleased with the service and it was fixed within a week for a very reasonable price. Will be recommending him to all my friends.

Reliable,knowledeable local plumber, highly recommended

I am the owner of a Blackpool bed and breakfast. A leak on the main water feed into the premises which is in original lead pipe left other plumbers running for the hills. No one wants to work with lead piping especially when it is an awkward size.Chris Walsh on Yell.com however was the man for the job. He turned up and retuned calls when he said he would. He managed to source the part that was needed via the internet and fitted it promptly. Brilliant service, thank you.
