If you have the time to constantly chase them for work to be finished then these are the builders for you. Started off really well, & yes, the lockdown hit but they were still working well. However, when we came out of lockdown they just moved on to a new job & Matty 'disappeared' - no one could get hold of him. It has taken months of continuous phone calls, text messages, emails to finally get the work finished & signed off. (Though my floor is still uneven where the extension joins the original house, as it wasn't levelled or screeded, & will need levelling out properly at some point by another firm)

Matt is a punctual, reliable and honest business man with a hard working team. We were very pleased with the quality of work and nothing was too much trouble to ask. The site was kept tidy and great consideration was given to our neighbours. We would definitely recommend Matt and his team for any construction work.

A year ago Matthew and his guys built me what has been a lifelong dream for me. During the hottest part of last summer they constructed a 25 ft square games room in my back garden. To the credit of them all, they worked 12 hour plus days in baking temperatures, and always cleaned up after themselves, rather rare in the construction business. They were as excited about the project as me, and all work was completed to an excellent standard, with additions made without extra cost. These guys are really good and I would recommend them to anyone

Chestnut Construction completed a garage conversion for us in September 2018. From the initial quote to the finished product, Matty and the team were professional and friendly and we were very impressed with the standard of their work. They ensured that we had the exact windows to match the house and worked late into the evening to complete jobs ready for the other trades to come in and work the next morning. They cleaned up every day before leaving and were very tidy throughout.
Our son is absolutely thrilled with his new study/games room.
I would highly recommend Chestnut Construction to anyone wanting a garage conversion. They were very competitive on price too, but with a professionalism that was lacking in some of the other firms we contacted.
