Charlie Caffyn Furniture is a Wiltshire based workshop that makes beautifully designed modern pieces of handmade furniture.

Founded by Charlie Caffyn in 2007, he has developed a reputation for designing and making truly stunning statement designer pieces which transform spaces within homes and gardens.

Passionate and ambitious, the 43 year old creates these bespoke pieces of furniture from his workshop in historic Bradford on Avon. Rooted in solid wood and only sourcing quality materials from well managed suppliers, it’s his appreciation for traditional craftsmanship, mixed with contemporary design that underlines his reputation for making thoughtful, timeless pieces of beautiful wooden furniture.

Trained as both a cabinet maker and furniture designer in the UK and Sweden. Design and make commissions are also undertaken. From built in wardrobes and bookcases to dinning room tables.

Charlie has done two jobs for me in my old house in Bradford on Avon which has very wonky walls and ceilings, so there were many problems to overcome. One was for shelves in a bedroom alcove with cupboards beneath, and I am very pleased with it. The second was a much bigger job for shelves, space for medium size TV, and cupboards beneath.
Charlie ihas been unfailingly cheerful, punctual and polite, and helpful, and left everything spotless. I am very pleased indeed with what he has done for me.

Outstanding work

Charlie is a gem. He has totally transformed our sitting-room with innovative book shelves and cupboards which look stunning. He takes great pride in his work and pays attention to every detail producing first class results. Charlie goes out of his way to be helpful in every way. He is accommodating, punctual, clean and tidy and does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it. It is a pleasure to do business with Charlie and have him in your house. I cannot recommend Charlie highly enough, you will not be disappointed.

Alcove cupboards and shelves

Charlie recently carried out work in our home. We own a Victorian house, and wanted the traditional alcove cupboards reinstating, and rim locks fitting to our internal doors. The end product is outstanding.
Friends of ours recommended Charlie after having similar work done, and we are very grateful they did.
From initial consultation to completion it was a pleasure to deal with Charlie. He was professional, punctual, clean and tidy. He listened carefully to our brief and produced something beyond our expectations. The pride he takes in his work is obvious.
I would not hesitate to recommend Charlie, and will definitely use again.

Bespoke Bulit in Cupboards

Charlie did a brilliant job of designing and fitting some bespoke built-in cupboards for us. His creativity and skills resulted in a very practical and stylish solution to our storage problems that far exceeded our expectations both in terms of appearance and functionality. Charlie takes an innovative approach when it comes to solving problems and his excellent workmanship ensures a high standard of finish. Charlie clearly has a wide range of experience to draw on enabling him to provide an efficient bespoke service, with good humour and professionalism. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.
