Visited a few shops and this was by far the best. Lovely consults, beautiful dresses and amazing seamstress. Thank you for making the whole process so enjoyable and easy. Would highly recommend.

We done the VIP experience and loved every minute of it! From walking in being greeted by a super friendly staff, bright clean boutique, we were taking into the VIP area. The little word board with my name on, sweets, popcorn and simple touches made it so exciting. I had given a few ideas on what I’d like and must say each dress I tried on was stunning! They were to my idea and a bonus being a plus size Bride all fit which was something I was worried about thinking the ones I’d like would only be in smaller sizes

I found THE ONE! And felt like an absolute princess ! It was a great experience that I highly recommend it just adds a little more magic to your special day

Terrible experience

I was excited to visit Chameleon Bridal yesterday with my family; however, was left disappointed in the whole experience. Admittedly, a breakdown in communication on my part may have left Chameleon Bridal feeling disgruntled by my lack of communication, but this was not intentional. When I arrived, I was told I had brought too many guests (4) to the appointment. When I explained that a guest was happy to stand in the corner, I was told this was not possible without any attempt to be accommodating or resolve the situation. Instead, a guest had to stand in the entrance and was not able to experience what was supposed to be an extremely enjoyable appointment. When myself and my family were discussing a dress that, whilst lovely, was not best suited to my body shape, we were told “this is why you shouldn’t bring so many guest because there are too many opinions”. I won’t recommend this shop to anyone.

We’re sad to hear that you were unhappy on your 2nd visit. We assume you enjoyed your 1st visit as you chose to return. You had booked online into our Marble Suite which can seat the bride plus 3 guests, which is set out on our website & in your email confirmation. There is no room for a further seated guest. If you had let us know in advance that you wanted to bring more guests, we could’ve moved your appointment to our VIP room which can seat more guests. However on the day you attended we were fully booked so we could not move you. On trying your fave dress from your 1st try on, one of your guests declared that it was not the dress as she personally did not like it. We expressed our sadness at this & explained that the more people you bring, the more conflicting opinions you have which can be confusing. We often discuss this during appointments & on social media & was not meant to be a criticism. We’re sorry that you took this the wrong way & we hope you have an amazing wedding

Be careful how you pay!

My initial consultation was with Maureen, a really lovely lady who helped me to find a beautiful dress.

Chameleon Alterations is a separate company to Chameleon Bride, so if you do buy a dress here and then decide to use their alterations service, I would strongly advise everyone to pay for these with a credit card so that you have the protection of Section 75 to fall back on if things go wrong - things went horribly wrong for me as I left with a dress that was unwearable.

Chameleon refused to take any accountability and then ghosted me after I requested a refund.

The bank upheld my Section 75 claim very quickly, as I had the evidence needed to support it, and I received a financial settlement through them.

My experience with Chameleon was ultimately very distressing.

We’re sad to see this review. When you attended your final fitting with us you said how happy you were & signed our form to approve all your alterations. You left with a huge smile & had a dress collection picture shared on Insta which shows you beaming. After the wedding you emailed on 1 Oct to say that you had been unhappy & went elsewhere to have further alts. We responded on 5 Oct expressing our disappointment that you did not mention this at your final fit or give us the opportunity to do any further alts you wanted. We’re therefore confused that you say we ghosted you. We had nothing to do with the s75 claim as this is between you & the credit card co. so we could not submit our own evidence. It’s saddening that you’re now very vocal about your unhappiness by leaving us negative reviews here/elsewhere, but could not seem to express it prior to your wedding. If you raised it then, we could’ve easily made any further alts you wanted. Reviews such as this are just devastating to us

Awful experience

I visited Chameleon on Saturday to try on wedding dresses. I paid £20 for my 1.5 hour appointment and I received an awful experience. Within 45 minutes I had tried on my dresses and the lady assisting told us to drink our drinks and then we must leave. Compared to other local bridal shops, I felt rushed and pressured to by a potential dream dress. When I said that I would like to come back with my maid of honour I was told that she wouldn’t be wearing the dress and it was down to me.

Sadly, I will be asking another bridal shop to help me find my dress.
