Tried to rip me off.

Before dropping my car off for its service and MOT, I checked my tyres with a tyre gauge to see if I needed to change them before my MOT, (they were on 2.7mm and 3.1mm). Central auto point completed my service and sent me an email saying both my tyres were under the legal limit and needed changed or they would fail my MOT. They also said my rear breaks needed replacing which I found hilarious as I had them checked when my car was in for something else 2 weeks prior, (at the main Audi dealership). I asked them not to preform the MOT and I went and picked my car up. I have just returned from taking my car to another garage and the car passed with no mention of the breaks. I’m disgusted that central auto point we’re telling me I needed £300 worth of work done to pass my MOT. If central auto point wants to contact me, I am happy to show them proof of the Audi health check on my breaks and the MOT certificate which shows the tyres at 2.7 and 3.1.

Good morning I hope you are well. I was dismayed to see the comments about the service you had received from the garage for the work carried out on your vehicle. We take pride in what we do and sometimes we get it wrong and other times right we are only human. I have studied your complaint and also looked at the video which you also have seen, my understanding is that you were informed on the video that your tyres were very close to the legal limit on one tyre and the other was showing signs of wear due to the tracking being out. It also mentions that the brake pads were wearing thin, all of this would be confirmed when it had been with the MOT tester who would look at them more closely. I know that you took it to another garage who subsequently passed your vehicle however advised the tyres just like we did, that is not to say we would have not done the same.

You mentioned that you took it to a main dealer AUDI and at no time were you told by them that the pads needed changing that is because they did not need changing as we only said to you in the video that they were wearing thin and advised they will needed to be changed in the near future which could be six months down the line. The aim of the video is to advise the customer only, you have the option to except our recommendations or decline them it also allows individuals to see what we see therefore taking away any doubt on our workmanship. So summing up the above we did not tell you at any point you needed £300 of work to be done to pass an MOT as this is verified on the video.

I have studied your complaint and also looked at the video which you also have seen, my understanding is that you were informed on the video that your tyres were very close to the legal limit on one tyre and the other was showing signs of wear due to the tracking being out. we did, that is not to say we would have not done the same. I have also been told an email was sent from the garage suggesting that the vehicle would fail an MOT I can assure you that this would not have happened as we don't send out emails only video reports and recommendations and to suggest in the email that it would fail an MOT is not correct. If possible I would like you to send me a copy of the email to clarify your comments. Convert in this garage my car for LPG system. David didn't done job about which promises before. After conversion lying what he used to said. AVOID.

Disappointing service, I do not recomment this garage

I would put 0 if I could, very disappointing!!! I used the garage for a few years. This year I ordered exactly the same service like two previous years, but finished paying twice for the same service, which obviously did not make any sense to me, nor it should to them. It was just because they changed their rules, but they failed to tell me about it. Well, they got some extra cash from me, instead of 1 hour they kept my car for the whole day, I had to cancel all my arrangements for the day. I feel like I was treated as a fool, very unfair! Do not recommend it.
