A mixed bag, some nice staff some very rude and disrespectful.

Last two straws - Kept waiting for over 25 minutes after my appointment slot because Vet took another appointment ahead of me which left my dog who was already super stressed in a really bad way. No genuine apology was offered and I was treated with no respect whatsoever. The next time I went back I was billed for items I had no need for. Perhaps I should have known to trust my dog as she absolutely hates being at Ceder Grove as if she's been traumatised by the place. When I took her to Ormeau Road branch she was fine (cannot be sure if it's a specific Ceder Grove issue).

I'm done with this place. There were/are some pleasant staff at Ceder grove but the one I keep getting stuck with is very unpleasant and rude. I have also met a very rude receptionist there, if there is one thing a receptionist requires is some form of people skills and respect for polite customers like myself.

I feel that perhaps staff are capable of being polite but have the authority to choose not to.

Excellent Vets

Have used Cedargrove Vets and their Ormeau branch for years now, they've treated my cats all of their lives, and I can honestly say they've always been excellent, even with some really difficult cases. The two dogs I've had have both been treated with care and understanding, especially my new rescue Collie who needs lots of understanding! Speaks volumes that she enjoys going to see them, the vets, nurses and reception staff always go out of their way to ensure each visit is a positive experience, even though sometimes she's only tagging along with a visit for one of the cats. Value for money for the services of professional, highly experienced, and kind people who genuinely love animals - would definitely recommend.

Awful service

I went to the vet on a Wednesday at 8:20 I had a budgie who was dying as he was stuck somewhere. My kids were crying in front of the receptionist who stood their emotionless. We were waiting for 15minutes asking her to talk to the vet as our budgie could die only moment however she didn't even talk to the vet and kept telling us that there was a costumer in line whose dog looked healthy enough to wait 3 minutes. All we needed were a few minutes with the vet to see the condition of our budgie. Very bad service from the receptionist/nurse. She had no manners in the way she talked very rude acted like she couldn't care less. All she cared about was the money not the life of our pet. We also on the end had to pay an enormously large amount of money for all the bad service where in the end our pet had to die. However in the end when we finally talked to the vet she was nice enough and caring.

Do not recommend this place if u care about your pet

I can well believe it. Some pleasant staff but also some very unpleasant. I can imagine this was very upsetting for you, for what it's worth I am sorry to hear you had to experience this lack of care.

Fantastic Vets

I would definetely recommend Cedar Grove.
I have been a client there for many years and have always recieved excellent veterinary care. The staff are very friendly and really show genuine care for me and my pets.
They are very skilled at what they do and have very good facilities with amazing equipment.
All the vets have extra qualifications and the nurses are wonderful. They can cope with every illness your pet could get.
