Great Vets - would recommend

We have used Castle Vets for all of our Cats over the last 25+ years.
They have always been excellent, and very caring.

Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being stolen from

If I could score them lower than 1 star I would. Liars who don't care about the well being of animals at all. Would rather leave 2 dogs sat outside their building in 28 degree heat with no access to water, than refund a payment that was wrongly taken in the first place
Refusal to refund £45 paid for a consult that they then refused to carry out. Do not give them any money over the phone. Female Co-owner is also one of the rudest individuals I've ever encountered. Reporting to RCVS and small claims court.
As a warning to anyone considering registering with this place as a new client... don't...
Plenty of actual decent human beings and vets around. These are certainly not one of them

Excellent

Talking to a lady at the local Nottingham Dog park, age recommended Castle Veterinary Centre, to which I replied, "Oh I haven't needed the vet's in ages!"
Cut to an hour later, my lovely dog Foxi has caught her dewclaw and twisted it. I was able to get an appointment that day for her to be seen. She's very nervous at the vet but the excellent team calmed her down, sorted it out and bandaged her up.
Thank you to Ewan and his team for the amazing service, and for keeping COVID safety at the forefront of their practice. Foxi is home and well and living for the drama of it all!

Vet has terrible attitude

Ewan is a very nice person, however dealing with Brin is extremely difficult, I’ve witnessed her shouting at owners on numerous occasions. I have had to deal with her rudeness firsthand, it is beyond me how someone that behaves so poorly in a professional environment continues to work as a vet. I would advise others to go elsewhere, there are so many other practices where the vets truly care for animals.

Incredible!

Absolutely incredible! Family run clinic, both husband and wife are extremely competent, kind, caring and patient. Answered all my questions and doubts. I really enjoyed the experience despite the covid restrictions and I will definitely keep bringing my pet here.
