It's quite daunting, even messy on the web looking for a stairlift firm to trust. It's full of comparison sites and others that don't even seem British. We always trust Yell.com and seeing a business like Castle Comfort Stairlifts there in a prominent position looked worth a try.
I called at 10 pm expecting an answerphone but amazed that one of the directors of the firm, Keith, actually personally answered. The background noise sounded like the pub, but 'so what' I thought and the only problem with that I felt a bit jealous - as I was stuck in a hospital dispatch unit trying to take my mother in law home and face the task of getting her up the stairs in future safely. Within a few minutes the price of the stair lift was given and the following day a chap came to take the measurements - and it was fitted literally with 48 hours. The install took 40 minutes.

Nor was this a cheap way round things or an inferior model lift. In fact we got for £1500 the same lift that the actual manufacturers would have charged almost double for. We know this for a fact, as a neighbour recently went through all that. Amazing, the lift was even installed direct by the manufacturers as Castle have a trade account with them. So we got the same thing done very quickly, at the right price, and in a manner that was faultless. Highly recommended. I have never felt obliged or motivated to make an online comment like this before - but I am pleased to do so now. In addition my mother in law has ordered me to!

I called this firm after a search for stairlifts in London and was given the name of a good firm for our straight stairlift installation. Not wanting to be fobbed off with just one quote they also arranged 2 more stairlift manufacturers to quote and we were more than happy with our final price, as I think they all tried to outdo each other! Excellent service and the proprietor really knew what he was talking about.
