We understand that leaving your pet when you go away can be difficult for you, which is why we offer the friendliest service in Ystrad Mynach. We're also open for daily viewing giving you the opportunity to see how happy your pets will be with us.

Should your pet have any special medical needs during their stay, Diana & Dave are personally trained and capable of administering medication where necessary.

We also have a vet on 24 hour standby should the unfortunate need arise.

Please contact us prior to your pet's stay to discuss your own individual needs.

Your pets will enjoy an excellent view of the beautiful countryside from our kennels and cattery. We have individually heated kennels and separate luxury cattery. Your pets can also have a fun time playing in our safe & secure exercise areas.

Cartref Boarding Kennels & Cattery has been in business for the past 14 years and the staff have a collective experience of over 30 years.

Gizmo's Holiday Home

Diana and Dave are absolutely fabulous with our(naughty and crazy) whippet, Gizmo. We travel a lot, Gizmo stays with them at least 5 times throughout the year, sometimes for weekends, sometimes for two weeks. Our travels wouldn't be possible without Diana, Dave and staff at Cartref. Gizmo is a challenge and they really have their work cut out with him but he is always happy and settled there and we know that he is well looked after. Thank you Cartref.

My New puppy,s Holiday

My new puppy had an amazing time at Cartref. When I picked him up yesterday he was so happy I could clearly see that he has had such a good time. I did ask Cartref to feed him Raw food, which I supplied, and they had no problem with that as they told me they have an dedicated freezer to make sure his food is all kept nice and fresh. The views from the kennel across the gardens is so wonderful and everything was just so clean there as well. Thanks again to Dave & Diana for looking after our new baby. Will be back again in the summer.

Highly recommended, friendly kennels

Our puppy recently stayed here, and we weren't sure how she would settle for the first time. She absolutely loved her stay, and the picture updated of her playing were so appreciated. The only people that i will trust my puppy with for her holidays.

Been using Catref for many years for my dog Bonnie and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. They always show warmth and love to the animals. A extremely professional set up.

Happy holiday

Very happy with the care our puppies received. It was their first time in kennels and they appeared to be happy and well looked after. We would certainly feel confident in leaving them again and we would recommend.
