Carpetright

Worst customer service ever. Originally had wrong carpet delivered and then was told we had to go into store to pick another one and could we take it back even though we paid the ridiculous price of £29 to deliver it in the first place. Once got into store found the actual carpet we had ordered was still stood in the exact same spot as when we picked it. We then had ours delivered again and after a confusion on measurements originally we were assured it would fit our room several times. We came to fit it and smaller than what was stated. Again went into store and was told someone would sort it and send me a bigger one ASAP. No one available in store once I called to check to authorise it, even though we were told there would be. I have had to take several days off work each time and am still being messed around. Will not be shopping there ever again.

I will not be using this company again, I am astonished they're still in business. The service we experienced was shoddy, unreliable, unpleasant and very stressful. They messed us around with fitters, got measurements wrong and we were left living with exposed concrete and gripper rods for a week and a half with a toddler and a dog. We were asked to give our own measurements , which is a bad sign and we did so, we were happy with them, even drawing diagrams so it was fool proof, but not for Carpetright. They still got it wrong. They have signs up in store saying "fitted in days", this is definitely not the case- this is false advertising and offer no compensation for any inconvenience caused. The fitters they use aren't brilliant, ours had phoned in sick and then been seen by another fitter out in their van. They seem to wait for the customer complain and then locate alternative (good, reliable, professional) fitters that they can't seem to hire. I would not recommend them.

We arranged for the carpet to be fitted on 14 September. That didn't happen...just a phone message with no explanation saying that it would be 3 October instead. I checked with the store and explained my husband who would just be there for the fitters, had to be in Nottingham in the afternoon of 3rd October for work. They reassured me that our carpet would be the first on the fitters' timetable at 10 a.m. But no such luck...he drove down late on Sunday night and this morning with an hour until the agreed fitting time he was phoned and told that they would be coming at 3pm.
So my husband, who was there especially, had to phone his colleagues in Nottingham and cancel all his work arrangements with colleagues.
The whole process has involved two special trips down to Hereford, moving house having to be put on hold for three weeks and now lost income. And will they appear to fit the carpet this afternoon? Who knows!!
Atrocious service....don't shop here. Go to Gloucester instead
