Used the Carpenters Arms tonight before going to the Excellent Sanjha Indian next door for a curry.
Went in early at about 7pm.
Only one member of staff on, didn’t look happy at all. Asked for 2 beers, a G&T and a wine. G&T turned up last after had paid and just gin in glass, no ice or slice with a warm bottle of tonic. When asked said didn’t have ice. Reluctantly gave slice, but when other half felt the warm tonic asked to change drink. Was told in no uncertain terms “Tough” and that was it.
When trying to get a second round, said pay up front for the two beers. Asked to speak to manager, said was “in the back, and won’t be bothered, best just send an email if we have a problem”
Frankly disgusted with the service. Best off stay with “The Cabin or Weatherspoon’s if you want any sort of service or hospitality without being treated like dirt.
Never going there again. Disgraceful.
