Carlton estate agent provided excellent service when, in my experience, it is so hard to come by amongst estate agents as a whole. They enabled me to purchase our house taking the stress out of the negotiation and giving me sensible advice at every step of the process. They were courteous, professional, efficient and readily available even outside of office hours. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Reduced to 1* after Carlton offered me a £50 bribe to remove my review.

The attending agent was entirely unfamiliar with the property and unable to answer questions we had - he relied on the tenant to answer all of these. When he didn't know the answer he made assumptions instead of just saying he'll find out.
We really liked the property and made an offer via email, but didn't hear back. We chased after 4 days. Agent communication was minimal and the agent didn't respond to email. I didn't feel he was relaying our communications onto the Landlord accurately, and there was a breakdown.
Overall while the property was great, Carlton's service was not good - we grew tired of liaising with them and gave up on the property. This is a shame for good tenants/ property owners. We became impatient and frustrated and looked to our second choice property, with Currell, who were quick and efficient and we quickly agreed terms in a pragmatic way.

Tim and the team at Carlton made our purchase of an invetment property straight forward. Highly professional with great local knowledge. They have set the bar very high for other agents and as yet no one has come close.

Having unsuccessfully tried to sell my house over a very frustrating 6 months period, I was astonished to see my neighbour sell in a two week period. She recommended Tim Carlton the owner of Carlton Estate Agents and as soon as he stepped over the threshold I knew I was in safe hands. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
