Carlo's Ices

We have been making special trips to visit Carlo's whenever we've been in the area for the last 30 years or so, as my husband has been a fan since he was a chid, living locally. We visited last week and were horrified at the poor quality of the ice cream. My husband felt it was no longer home made and must obviously be a commercially made product, but I felt it was of such poor quality there was no way it could be .The vanilla was tasteless and watery but the chocolate was even worse, without even a hint of either cocoa or chocolate having been used!! It's the last time we'll be visiting I'm afraid.
