As others have said Beware avoid at all costs! Wheel bearing change bill £180 labour only as I supplied the bearing.. when I complained it was reduced to £150.. Main dealer quoted £100 I thought I'd try a local what a mistake. Trust me do not use go elsewhere, Dont say you haven't be warned.

Tried to tell me it would take 3 hours to do a front wheel bearing on peugeot 306 quoted £120 for the job. Price there work at £22.50 an hour and make the job 3 times longer than it should be. I'm a hgv mechanic and was stuck passing through carlise but did not go there and recommended know one else does. Imagine the amount of people they scam who don't know what there doing.
Shame on you carlise auto repairs you give honest mechanics a bad name.

Have been a customer of this garage for years,and strongly disagree with the rogue review ,I find them friendly and honest and have never carried out any repairs without my permission ,they have always came across as honest ,they always go the extra mile for you

A rogue company, I don't usually write reviews but I feel compelled to write my experience so no one else falls victim to this company. Avoid at all cost, there are far more honest mechanical workshops out there and "Carlisle auto repairs" is not one of them. Booked my car for Mot and servicing and work not done; The garage invented faults, supposedly carried out work without permission, charged an extortionate amount of money only found out through trawling through the invoice when i found out that car was having same fault, questioned it only to be told it is basically too late. Took my car to another mechanic who was honest and fixed the car for a fraction of what I had paid in " Carlisle Auto Repairs" for a work that was not done. I wish I had paid with my credit card. My recommendation avoid at all cost and whatever cost you are quoted , recalculate the cost yourself or avoid at all cost. Don't fall for sweet garbage they got to sell which usually begins with it is a family run business and slagging off other near by garages.
