Carl Higgs Piano Tuition

I studied all aspects of music education and the piano in particular to degree and diploma standard, and have now been teaching piano professionally in the Stourbridge area for 25 years. I also play for local events and organisations on a regular basis, as well as accompanying for recitals, and graded instrumental/vocal exams etc.

I gear my lessons to the individual student's requirements on a one-to-one basis. Lessons can be arranged to suit (evenings and daytime slots available) either from my dedicated music room, or in the student's own home if preferred.

I know how important it is to give younger beginners the best possible start on the piano or keyboard, and am equally committed to teaching those wishing either to take graded exams (ABRSM, LCM, Trinity & Rock School) or those pupils wanting to learn the piano purely for pleasure.

I have built up an outstanding track record over the years, with pupils achieving excellent results in their instrumental and theory grades, and also many successes in local music festivals and school performances etc.

I am a full member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (MISM) and hold their Registered Private Teacher status (fully insured and up-to-date DBS certificate).
