Carisbrook Day Nursery

WMB Carisbrook Day Nursery is one of the nurseries managed by WMB Childcare Ltd. It was formerly a Sure Start Centre under the Manchester City Council and was subsequently taken over by WMB Childcare Ltd and registered in 2013 on the early years register and the compulsory and voluntary parts of the childcare register. It is situated in the Carisbrook Street area of Harpurhey in Manchester. The nursery serves children and families from the local area. WMB Carisbrook is a purpose-built premises with four playrooms and associated facilities and a large enclosed outdoor play area.

The nursery opens Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 6:00pm, all year round, with the exception of bank holidays and Christmas holiday periods. We currently support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and also support a number of children who have English as an additional language. Our practitioners are highly qualified, motivated and aspire to deliver outstanding care and learning to all children attending the setting.

We have a number of outstanding practitioners at WMB Carisbrook Day Nursery. The Nursery Manager has a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and has also gained an Early Years Professional Status. We have qualified teachers with a Masters qualification. Many of our practitioners hold level 3 qualifications in childcare. We also contribute to the development of young practitioners by taking on apprentices who are all working towards their level 3 & 2 childcare qualification.

At WMB Carisbrook we believe in building solid early years foundation for children and partnerships with our parents. This is achieved from their first visit and continues throughout their time with us. We offer an open door policy so parents are able to share their comments and come for advice, help and support when needed, we are always on hand to help or we can sign post them to other organisations who may be able to offer support.
