C Merren Carpentry & Building

C Merren does various types of carpentry and building to a high standard at an honest and competitive price. They have good technical expertise also, as I had a new replacement staircase built, a new wall batten, boarded, skimmed, a new ceiling, and my loft fully boarded. I continued to use C. Merren to do my work, as on accepting and starting work, they are committed to the job, doing it in good time and in the customers interest by making decisions and solving problems that are to my benefit. Their work is both competent and thorough so that the finished jobs are solid work, as asked for and structurally excellent giving my home a new feel. The workmen are also pleasant to have around, but also trustworthy as I had to vacate my home for a number of days whilst stairs were being built. What could have been a very stressful time for me was not stressful at all, as they completed the work seamlessly and at and within the time I needed it done. Once one finds a good builder you keep them

Colin is a highly professional carpenter and builder who communicated well with me, despite me being on the other side of the world. His design ideas, materials and workmanship are of the highest quality. Started project on time and was the only builder to ask if he should remove his boots when visiting to quote.

Exceptional service - a high degree of workmanship. Having been let down by three others, Colin's quote seemed a bit higher, but turned out to be very reasonable considering the care, attention & craftsmanship demonstrated by the young man who came to hang a new door, and install door furniture & locks etc. The new door fits the frame more snugly than the old one did when it was new!
