I booked a marquee in early 2020 for a wedding in August 2020

The wedding could not go ahead because of the coronavirus restrictions.

In line with the government guidance that deposits in these circumstances should be returned, I requested a refund

Over several months Charlie Anstey told me that the company was in a poor financial condition & could not make covid-affected refunds. Repeatedly Charlie requested more time to make the refund.

In Oct 22 Charlie requested to defer the refund until March 23. At March 23 Charlie told me that he still could not afford the refund and that I would have to take him to court if I wanted to receive the deposit back.

In April 23 Charlie agreed to refund around half the deposit after he had made a deduction of £500 to the initial amount paid.

Out of concern that the company may become insolvent before I recovered any funds, I reluctantly agreed.

I would not recommend working with this company in the future
