Bushy Wood Scout Camp

Bushy Wood is an Activity Centre located in the heart of rural Sussex, in the south-east of England.

Sussex has a wonderful mix of city, coast and countryside, whether you fancy enjoying the vibrant city life of Brighton & Hove or are tempted by the thought of exploring historic towns and villages and wide open downland countryside, our county has plenty to offer.

If you want a seaside treat, then the coast is only a short distance away at Eastbourne, where you can visit the pier, take in the considerable leisure facilities, do some shopping, or take a boat trip to see the famous Beachy Head cliffs and lighthouse.

There are an abundance of attractions and activities on offer in the local area or only a short journey away. London, with all that it offers for the visitor, is easily within reach for a day trip, as are the spiritual homes of Scouting, Brownsea Island and Gilwell Park.

We have camping areas and building accommodation available for hire, along with an indoor activity centre, suitable for activities, meetings and training purposes.

Our site is intended for use by Scouts, Guides and other recognised youth organisations, such as schools, colleges, Princes Trust, DofE, forest schools etc.
