Untrustworthy

We booked this company a month ahead of our moving date and completed all the necessary paperwork. We kept them informed at all stages and then confirmed the date (which was unchanged) at the point of exchange of contracts, 2 weeks in advance. We were then told that they had taken another booking the previous day and could not longer help us. My wife (who took the call) was upset and pleaded with them to help in some way, but they did not even have the courtesy to call back for another week (when they could still not assist) and at no stage was there even an hint of an apology. Do not trust these people.

Thank you for your feedback. A month ahead of the moving date, the move had not been booked with us; neither as a provisional booking or as a confirmed booking. You had mentioned you were looking to move at the end of the month but at no time asked to reserve a vehicle and crew. We are happy to take provisional bookings and reserve vans for as long as possible for customers to liaise with their solicitors. At this time of year, and particularly with the current house market demand, moving companies require as much notice of a confirmed booking as possible to be able to allocate resources to complete moves efficiently. We hope you understand, therefore, that we were unable to accept the booking, when you did contact us to book with short notice.

My parents wanted to down size from a 5 bedroom house, and we needed more space, so the obvious solution to the problem was to swop houses.
We decided to use Burke Bros as they had been highly recommended by several of our friends who had used their services.
The day of the moves arrived and the vans arrived bright and early at both homes to simultaneously empty each property. We couldn't believe that by 3pm the transfer was complete. The day went without a hitch, and the men worked so hard and handled all our furniture and possessions with such care, which was great because you always worry about items getting damaged.
A thoroughly professional service from start to finish.

Office move

We recently moved our office premises, within the Wolverhampton area and, having used Burke Bros on a previous occasion, knew our removers of choice. The process was again, seamless from start to finish. The men arrived at the stated time and were very professional. All of our items were delivered with care and attention and the bonus for us was that we didn't have to empty filing cabinets, as these were moved complete, thus cutting down on time for us. Should we move offices in the future we certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others. Many thanks to all involved.
