Within literally days of the severity of the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic being clear, and how it would cause severe problems in Society which would need to be dealt with, Rachel Stevens The Founder realised the demands the shutdown would create within our Community. Appreciating instantly that the "new" housebound would need support for the most basic of things and grasping the fact that she would need help, she organised a massive leaflet drop and encouraged a large team of volunteers to join her to ensure the offers of buying food, getting prescriptions, chat support etc. had to be honoured, she did so with unbounded enthusiasm and efficiency. The warmth of her personality not only guaranteed the loyalty of these supporters who more than competently honoured these pledges but earned the inestimable gratitude of literally hundreds and hundreds of recipients who were helped to cope with this, the most horrendous of, situations.

Offering a service which is invaluable to the elderly and vulnerable at this current time. As part of the Well-Being group I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting a variety of people feeling that I have done something that "matters". I now walk along my assigned streets and people wave at me or come out to have a chat . They are also alerting me to others for whom they may have concerns. The group of volunteers are thoughtful, efficient and well-organised being maintained by people with "big hearts".

My wife and I are extremely grateful for the help given to us by Bucks Angels. The friendly approach and response from all of the team members gave us confidence that we two 'vulnerable' people were not alone.
Bucks Angel's commitment, dedication and service to the community in these troubled times is clear proof, if proof is needed, that in times of great difficulty there are good, kind and generous people ready to serve those in need.
